Tennessee to Remember Victims of Impaired Driving Crashes
NASHVILLE, TN—The Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office, will join the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the Department of Safety and Homeland Security and the Tennessee Chiefs’ of Police Association to remember those who lost their lives due to impaired driving crashes in Tennessee during 2012. The press event will take place Wednesday, December 4th at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel.
In 2012, Tennessee lost an estimated 306 lives due to impaired driving traffic crashes. The Governor’s Highway Safety Office works with law enforcement and prevention partners across the state to combat negative driving behaviors, while ensuring all drivers utilizing Tennessee highways arrive at their destinations safely. The Governor’s Highway Safety Office wants to remind Tennesseans that during the holidays and throughout the year to make safe driving choices.
