Tennessee Highway Safety Office Launches SAFE Campaign in Jonesborough
 

JONESBOROUGH – On February 24, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) will be joined by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Jonesborough Department of Public Safety, the Crossville Police Department, and other traffic safety partners for a press event at the Jonesborough Visitors Center to promote the THSO’s Seatbelts Are For Everyone (SAFE) campaign, which runs from February 1, 2017 to August 1, 2017.

 

In 2015, Tennessee’s average seatbelt usage rate was 86.23 percent. Last year, the state achieved a record usage rate of 88.95 percent. In 2017, the THSO is striving to achieve 91 percent or higher. This year will be the fourth year that the THSO has sponsored the SAFE campaign. Press event details are listed below.
