Tennessee Highway Safety Office Joins Tennessee Highway Patrol, Vanderbilt University Medical Center to Promote Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month
NASHVILLE – On Wednesday, May 2, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) joins the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) and Vanderbilt University Medical Center to kick off Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. This press event will take place in conjunction with the Seventh Annual Music City Police Motorcycle Skills and Training Competition, hosted by the THP’s “Falcons” Motor Unit at Opry Mills.
According to preliminary data, there were 2,988 crashes involving a motorcycle statewide last year. Of those crashes, Tennessee experienced 134 motorcycle fatalities. Press event details are listed below.
