TENNESSEE HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE JOINS KNOXVILLE POLICE TO REDUCE PEDESTRIAN FATALITIES
KNOXVILLE – On Tuesday, April 18, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) will join the Knoxville Police Department for a press event to announce upcoming pedestrian safety efforts. According to Tennessee’s Integrated Traffic Analysis Network (TITAN), there were 48 pedestrian-involved traffic fatalities statewide last year-to-date. Thus far in 2023, there have been 61 pedestrian-involved traffic fatalities statewide. During the event, speakers will offer traffic safety tips and announce upcoming plans to reduce pedestrian-involved crashes, injuries, and fatalities in Knoxville.
