NHTSA’s Child Passenger Safety Week Campaign
September 19-25, 2010

Child Passenger Safety Week (September 19-25, 2010) is an annual campaign to bring public attention to the importance of properly securing all children in appropriate child safety seats, booster seats or seat belts - every trip, every time. The campaign ends on September 25th with “National Seat Check Saturday”. Certified child passenger safety technicians will provide advice and hands on child safety seat inspections nationwide for free. To find out more about this campaign in Tennessee call your Regional CPS Centers. Just click on the link above to visit the NHTSA CPS Week Campaign.

GHSO, in partnership with other federal, state and local highway and law enforcement agencies, launched “100 Days of Summer Heat” campaign earlier this summer. This statewide public awareness and enforcement campaign is designed to save Tennessee lives.

Agencies team up throughout the summer to aggressively remind Tennesseans to never drink and drive and to always buckle up. In order to get this message out, GHSO is using its “Drive Drunk, Get Nailed” multi-media message. GHSO is using various media methods such as internet, tv, radio and actual vehicles with 10 foot nails driven through the hoods. These vehicles will appear in high visibility locations across Tennessee to support the summer-long theme.
